KALAMA Soprano Ukulele (c.1927). Hawaiian style soprano ukulele. Mahogany top & neck with Koa wood back & sides. Original bridge re-glued securely at some time in the past. Hawaiian-style peghead with small inlaid ebony triangle at the top. Straight neck with no wear to frets or to fingerboard. Twelve fret neck with three inlaid position dots. Beautiful ‘rope-binding’ around top and side of body, with multiple binding (including ‘rope-binding’) around soundhole. Replacement tuning pegs. Very pretty, plays beautifully and produces a gorgeous sound. OHSC (EXC) £350.

LYON & HEALY ‘SHRINE’ UKE (c.1927).
Amazingly rare, with a straight neck & no wear to frets or to fingerboard, and with ORIGINAL hard shaped case!!! I’ve only seen these in books!!! ‘Washburn’ nameplate on back of peghead. The abalone inlay version now fetches $25,000 in the USA. This one is the only other version they ever made - and they didn’t make many of these! Green nut, three green position dots, and green binding top, back, and end of body, and around soundhole. One repaired crack on top of body. Original ‘Grover’ tuning pegs, and three of the original bridge-pins. Lovely sound, easy to play, and great to hold. OHSC (VGC) £975.
