Dear John, It was great to meet you at last. Thanks for making the effort to drop the Ludwig off, that was very helpful especially as time is short. What can I say? I restrung it and it sounds fabulous, in fact I’ve hardly put it down! I find myself just looking at every detail, epecially the inlay around the body. When I have a moment I will do a write up for you. The Echo is safe with my Dad, so in the future if you are ever interested just give my Dad a call. Well I leave on the 2nd so have a great year and thank you once more. Best wishes, Mike.

John, Just to say thank you very much for the uke; it has exceeded my expectations. After I strung it up for myself (I’m a left hander) I was amazed that something so small could produce such a volume. It has a lovely tone, my previous uke is a Gold Tone which whilst having a good sound for the price is much more mellow and it’s sound was drowned out by the band when I got on stage at the GFS meeting in Blackpool and I could hardly hear myself playing (surprisingly hard to play when you can’t hear yourself!). When I get up next time I’ll be strumming with pride with my Baby Cartwright! I’m also very pleased with how closely it is based on the Gibsons, the tapering of the neck and the thickness near the nut, gives the instrument a lovely feel. Fantastic. I would certainly recommend anyone who was looking for a Gibson to consider one of these. Please pass on my thanks to Phil. Regards, Peter.

Dear John; The ukulele has just arrived (Friday 9.30 A.M.). Beautifully packed. It felt so light when I took it off the postman I thought you’d forgotten to put it in the box! What a wonderful little instrument - so compact and beautifully proportioned. I was expecting it to be bigger from the pictures on your site... But I LOVE IT!!. I think the patina of wear is great. This is an instrument which has always been played and always will. Thanks so much. Regards Del.

John; Cartwright uke arrived safe, ontime and intact...thank you for packing it so carefully. What are my first impressions?... I’m thrilled with all aspects of it.... the finish is simply wonderful... the sound is brilliant..... action, intonation etc. perfect!! It’s basically a ‘real’ instrument ( love the geared tuning...after a slack-pegged dallas the cartwright will allow me to get on with the creative side of music....). So all in all 110% customer satifaction!!! I will recomend you to anybody looking to buy a uke and should my luck suddenly change I will come knocking at your web-site for a Ludwig !!! Thanks once again and best wishes. Colin. P.S. The case is great too!
