from the height of the ukulele and ukulele banjo era in 1928. Firstly, there is a copy of the
1928 ‘Abbott’ catalogue
, measuring 14.75 cms by 10.5 cms and containing 18 pages in total (including front and rear outside covers). It contains details and photofraphs of Abbott ‘Monarch’ Ukuleles, Abbott Ukulele Banjos (including the famous Abbott ‘Monarch’ as played by George Formby), plus Abbott and Grover Accessories - including a price list. To add to this is a copy of a
1928 flyer for ‘Grover’ Accessories for Musical Instruments
measuring 14.75 cms by 8.25 cms (folded) or 32.5 cms by 14.75 cms (unfolded). This two-sided ‘flyer’ is folded to provide eight separate pages of details and photographs of ‘Grover’ Bridges, Pegs, Tailpieces, and other accessories - including a price list. The reproductions are in sharp, clear black print on beige card, and the quality is absolutely superb.
