To set your bridge to the height required I recommend that you buy a couple of sheets of fairly abrasive glasspaper (sandpaper), a couple of sheets of 180 grade carbon paper, and a couple of sheets of 120 grade carbon paper. Use the glasspaper to take the height down quickly, the 180 grade carbon paper to flatten off the base of the feet, and finally the 120 grade carbon paper to smooth of the feet at the correct height. When you do this, ensure that your paper is on a surface that is as hard, smooth, and as flat as possible. NOTE: On the thicker ebony-tipped GROVER bridges, it may be advisable to file the ebony tip down first.
